July 2024 Event Recap

July has been a fun month for Stoke Coach! I facilitated two women’s group in custom outdoor fitness experence where we set intentions, meditated, hiked, played in nature, connected, and danced on top of a mountain as nature as our witness.

WILD WOMAN WANDER COLLABORATION

Embarking on a Wild Women Wander is always a fun and unique experience. Renee, the inspiring founder of Wild Women’s Tribe, embodies an essence that encourages vulnerability and release, fostering a community of women eager to shed preconceived notions of themselves. These women emerge with a deeper understanding of what brings them joy.

I had the pleasure of facilitating another summer wander with Renee, guiding a group of adventurous women on a hike around the Round Valley area. This cherished spot offers spectacular views of Park City Mountain and the Wasatch Range. Connection is a core value of mine, and I love meeting new women who are eager to discover something new about themselves, make new friends, and step out of their comfort zones.

Before we departed, I led a meditation to ground us after the rush to the trailhead. We set our intentions and embraced a moment of peaceful silence to truly show up as ourselves, listen to nature, and release our inner dialogues. Fitness is not just about physical health but mental health too—the connection between our minds and bodies is extraordinary. When we nurture our bodies through physical activity, we also nourish our minds, reducing stress and enhancing our overall well-being. This holistic approach to health recognizes that a balanced mind contributes to a strong body, and vice versa.

We began our hike in silence, then regrouped and paired up for one of Renee’s signature wander experiences: eye gazing. This practice helps you get to know someone without speaking. We then connected over thought-provoking questions, deepening the relationships we were building.

Our journey continued to another clearing, where I guided everyone in a grounding five-senses meditation. This seamlessly flowed into a standing, low-impact mindful movement workout, culminating in a mountaintop dance party that sparked pure joy. Dancing releases endorphins, which elevate our mood and bring a sense of euphoria. Studies have shown that dancing not only improves physical fitness but also boosts mental health, promoting a feeling of happiness and reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. In this joyful state, we took out paint palettes and continued to connect with our creativity, painting things we were grateful for or colors that stood out during our hike.

I find these Wanders incredibly rewarding as I facilitate women in unexpected ways, sparking joy and excitement that can inspire new ideas and perspectives.

GIRL GET AFTER IT - SALT LAKE CITY CHAPTER
COLLABORATION

Girl Get After It is a vibrant, unstoppable community dedicated to inspiring and empowering women through the sheer joy of movement and the incredible strength of connection. Their mission is to create a supportive, electrifying space where women from all walks of life can come together, sweat it out, and lift each other up. By fostering an environment that champions physical activity, wellness, and authentic friendships, they aim to build a powerhouse network of strong, confident women ready to conquer the world—in fitness and in life.

I had the absolute pleasure of becoming a part of their sisterhood by facilitating one of their custom outdoor fitness experiences. It was a transformative event similar to the Wild Women’s Wander. We grounded ourselves, hiked through breathtaking landscapes, chatted deeply, moved our bodies with purpose, and danced with wild abandon. The energy of this group was palpable, and their exuberance during our mountaintop dance party was infectious! It made me even more inspired and excited about my work connecting people—especially women—to the joy of movement through exercise, dance, creativity, adventure, and fun.

There is nothing quite like a spontaneous dance party on top of a mountain, surrounded by wide-open spaces and endless sky, to make you feel truly alive. This experience reaffirmed my passion for helping women discover their strength, confidence, and the pure bliss of moving their bodies in nature. Because of the wonderful women I met during this experience, I ended up joining the Girl Get After It community as they were such great examples of the women I like to surround myself with - encouraging, approachable, stoked, curious, and down for a good time.

Discover the transformative power of movement and connection! Engaging in physical activities like hiking, dancing, and mindful movement not only boosts your physical health but also enhances your mental well-being. When we move our bodies, we release endorphins that elevate our mood, reduce stress, and promote a sense of joy and fulfillment. Connecting with others during these activities deepens our sense of community and support, enriching our lives in countless ways.

Questions to Reflect On:
